OUR LEADERSHIP

The Geominex team has been carefully assembled over the course of fifteen years, and is overseen by its founders, Mr. John A. Nicholson and Mr. Brian D. Game.

John A. Nicholson, P.Geo FRGS

Mr. Nicholson has over thirty years experience in resource-related geological consulting. During his professional carrier he has led large and complex exploration projects in remote locations from northern Canada to the foothills of the Balkans. He has been involved in exploration programs and project management for both base and precious metals in North, Central, and South America as well as in Europe. He carries with him a wealth of experience in project management and logistics along with a strong geological background. Mr. Nicholson is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, has a B.Sc. from the University of British Columbia, and has been an accredited member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists since 1992.

Brian D. Game, P.Geo

Brian Game, Professional Geologist, graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1985 and has over thirty years of exploration experience in Canada and internationally.  Mr. Game has worked for both senior and junior mining companies and has extensive operational and drill program management experience ranging from preliminary testing to large programs for ore reserve definition.  He has experience in a variety of mineral deposit types including volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits, magmatic nickel-copper, porphyry copper-gold, epithermal and mesothermal gold vein systems, sediment hosted copper and skarn deposits.  Mr. Game has managed exploration programs for precious and base metals throughout Canada, South America, Europe (Albania) and Southeast Asia (Philippines).

Christopher G. Fozard, B.Sc.

Chris Fozard has over twenty years of Canadian and international exploration experience, beginning prior to graduation from Earth Sciences at Simon Fraser University in 2008. He has logged core on diamond drill projects in remote locations including China, Liberia, Chile, and within Canada in British Columbia,  Manitoba, Yukon, and Northwest Territories. Mr. Fozard has worked on deposit types including Archean, Carlin-type, epithermal, and orogenic gold, molybdenum porphyry, magmatic chromium-cumulate, and volcanogenic massive sulphides. He has executed exploration programs through all conditions and across language barriers, consistently delivering timely information and high-quality data. Mr. Fozard specializes in project management and team building using his geological experience and people skills to organize crews and coordinate with contractors and clients.

Riley T. Ledoux, P.Geo

Riley Ledoux graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2019, and has worked in Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Manitoba for both exploration and mining projects since 2017. He has collected a wealth of experience on various deposit types including Archean and orogenic gold, volcanogenic massive sulphides, shale-hosted massive sulphide, and Mississippi Valley type deposits. Across these projects Mr. Ledoux has completed various sample grids, surface trench targets, prospected remote field locations, and conducted both detailed and outcrop mapping projects with follow-up reports. Mr. Ledoux has logged drill core for precious and base metals, and managed reviews of drilling and internal company databases to update and improve best practices. He has completed season-wide drill hole plans, written periodical internal reports and larger annual reports, and in recent years Mr. Ledoux has taken on technical training and management of staff while interfacing with multiple clients.

Dr. Allan Miller, Ph.D.

Dr. Miller is the principal of a mineral deposits consulting company that has been active for the last 25 years. Prior to 1997, Dr. Miller spent 25 years with the Geological Survey of Canada as a Mineral Deposits Research Scientist responsible for regional-scale metallogeny, deposit-scale alteration studies and regional and detailed mapping in northern Canada (eastern Northwest Territories and Nunavut).

Dr. Miller has worked on multiple deposit types: lode and epithermal gold, Ni-Cu-PGE, sediment-hosted red bed copper-silver and lead-zinc, uranium, diamonds, volcanogenic massive sulphide, and copper-gold porphyry in northern Canada, throughout Central and South America, Mexico, China, Russian Federation and Fennoscandia.

Dr. Miller has numerous publications to his name and has been a guest lecturer at several universities in both Canada and Europe.

For the past 15 years, Dr. Miller has worked exclusively with GeoMinEx Consultants as our primary consulting geologist responsible for detailed geological mapping, ore petrography, SEM, deposit vectoring and ore deposit modelling.

OUR CORE TEAM
Benjamin Ruston, B.Sc.

Benjamin Ruston graduated from the University of Victoria in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Earth Science and a minor in Geographical Information Technology. Since 2019 he has worked on Archean and orogenic gold deposits in Northwest Territories and British Columbia, as well as iron ore deposits in Western Australia. Mr. Ruston has led regional field programs for soil, stream and rock sampling, and has been responsible for core logging, chip logging, rig management, modelling of results, and report writing, and is proficient using MX Deposit, Acquire, Leapfrog, FMG, ArcGIS, QGIS, and QField.

Jack Armstrong, B.Sc.

Jack Armstrong has been working in the mining and exploration industry since graduating from the University of Victoria in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Earth Sciences. He has built experience soil sampling, prospecting, and core logging on several deposit types including Archean gold, porphyry, epithermal, and precious metal-rich volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits. Mr. Armstrong is proficient with MX Deposit, Acquire, and ArcGIS. Recently he has assisted with compilation report writing and database management.
